There are only two fundamental leadership styles. They are both team-oriented. They are both effective styles. There is no right one and no wrong one. They are equally good. However, they are extremely different.
One is described as a “Surgeon Style”. The surgeon prefers to lead by doing. The surgeon builds a team around her/his own personal strengths. The other is a “Coaching Style” who prefers to lead by directing. The “Coach” never puts on a helmet, but they make sure everyone else is doing what they’re supposed to do.
